To celebrate 200 years of history, The Macallan is releasing TIME : SPACE Mastery inspired by and paying tribute to past whisky masters.

A diverse inventory including only the most exceptional European and American Oak casks seasoned with sherry and American Oak casks which previously held Bourbon create layers of complexity and voluptuous depth in aroma, flavour and texture.

TIME:SPACE Mastery celebrates The Macallan’s legacy through the careful selection of an array of oak origin, cooperages and casks, bodegas and sherry seasoning.

A one-of-a-kind The Macallan release celebrating the craft of the whisky makers who carefully selected 14 exceptional cask types to create TIME : SPACE Mastery.

The whisky masters explored the diversity of The Macallan’s inventory and selected each cask at its peak of maturation, representing both European and American oak, celebrating cooperages, bodegas and sherry seasoning to create an exceptional whisky for the future.

The predominant use of European Oak seasoned with sherry produces depth, dried fruits and soft spice. American oak brings roundness evoking sweetness.

Bottled at 43.6% ABV in a bespoke, unique circular decanter – representing the circle of life - housed in an extraordinary presentation box with 200 spikes devised from traditional origami techniques. Nature protects what is most precious, with spikes surrounding what is beautiful and fragile.

COLOUR - Warm Cherry

NOSE - Sumptuous Medjool dates, sweet baked figs and rich milk chocolate accompanied by delicate hints of honey and tropical character, reminiscent of dried mango and ripe papaya. Encapsulated by complex sweet oak.

PALATE - A real sweetness is evident with sherry-seasoned dry fruits, orange marmalade and honeycomb. Soft spiced notes of ginger and cinnamon develop.

FINISH - Bursts of caramelised pineapple and creamy vanilla linger with the exquisite balance of subtle dark chocolate and coffee.
