AMURI - A Dream Born In Sicily Realised in Dublin

AMURI - A Dream Born In Sicily Realised in Dublin

Founded With Amuri

Over the last couple of years, we've all seen far too much doom and gloom and unfortunately a huge increase in unoccupied and underutilised business premises. We counted a whopping 17 around the Grafton Street area recently. The good news is that new businesses are starting to open and we're really excited about one in particular.

Our own beautiful tasting room has been completely underutilised since the start of the pandemic. A few months ago we were approached by two creative, passionate entrepreneurs who had a lifelong dream of opening an authentic Sicilian restaurant. They had a full team and a solid plan behind them, they just needed a premises. Fortunately for them, the Grafton Street area is lacking in unique restaurants, and Upstairs needed a new lease of life.

Over the last few months, we've had the pleasure of getting to know the team as they've worked tirelessly to transform upstairs into a unique, authentic Sicilian Restaurant. The chefs also moved over from Sicily and we've watched with great excitement as they've produced a superb array of stunning dishes made with fresh local products and also some authentic Italian ingredients which were imported directly from Sicily from some top producers. Their creativity and "amuri" for food, wine and life are at the forefront of everything they do. The menu is not only creative, it's delicious.

Amuri is, and will be more than just another restaurant in Dublin: it's a true experience of Mediterranean gastronomy, a lifelong dream come true, a celebration of traditional cuisine and delicious creations which have been inspired by Sicilian flavours. It also just happens to have a fantastic location in the heart of Dublin city centre and a killer wine list that features approximately 150 wines.

Amuri will officially open this evening, so we'd like to take this opportunity to wish Andrea and Luca (the entrepreneurs) and Mimo and Andrea (the chefs) all the luck in the world as they officially start "living the dream" and we hope that if you can, you'll help support them and keep their dream a reality.
