The wines of Château de Fieuzal have a distinct allure that is inseparable from the place from which they are grown. Fieuzal has the intriguing ability to hold one’s attention, by combining flavour and feeling; the senses and the sensual. Extraordinary freshness, naturally provided by our soils, holds the wines together with remarkable tension right to the finish.

Fieuzal white is an enchanting balance between their Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon fruit. Aged for 12 months in French Oak barrels, the wine grows to fill the entire palate whilst providing a teasing combination of zesty, fruity and floral notes.

Tasting Notes
This Fieuzal white has finesse and fine acidity. Not at all exuberant, the aromas are subtle and the wine offers tension on the palate. There are notes of white peach and pear, alongside very pleasant floral touches. The finish is fresh, with a hint of salted butter.

2016 Vintage
This vintage was unique in the way it played out and is characterized by some extreme climatic conditions. After a cold and wet period during bud break, we witnessed 3 months of changeable weather that alternated between rain and sun. A temperate summer set the grapes on the right path to maturity, as the ‘veraison’ (when the grapes change colour) took place. The ripening period was gentle, which guaranteed excellent quality.
