Lusca Cabernet/Merlot 2018, Lusk, Co Dublin

A very unique wine - made in Ireland! A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. It shows very well with notes of fresh dark fruit and berries, beautiful earthy notes, spice and leather. A very interesting and enjoyable bottle.

Deep ruby red in colour. On the nose there are harmonious aromas of blackcurrants, green herbs, green peppers, mint, black pepper and vanilla. The palate is dry with medium acidity and firm yet well-balanced tannins. Ripe, dark fruit flavours of blackcurrants, plums, damsons and redcurrants. Towards the finish there are more spicy elements such as vanilla and black pepper.

Taste The palate is dry and light-medium in body. Gentle tannins and good acidity help give the wine a delicate and refined palate. Flavours are similar to the aromas, with some strawberry/ raspberry fruit, cranberries, and a touch of creamy vanilla.

Nose On the nose there are aromas of red cherries, raspberries, and cranberries, with a pleasant hint of strawberries and vanilla. Finish Pale ruby red core with a ruby/ garnet rim
