Winemaker Notes

Isidra is a stunning Crianza made from a blend of 85% Grenache & 15% Tempranillo. This wine for aging presents a red color with a high layer, intense and very bright. It is broad and intense on the nose, perfectly combining the ripe red fruit with the new wood. It brings back memories of aromatic herbs. On the palate it is elegant, velvety, with very good balance and well-integrated ripe tannins. Good acidity and very persistent.
Ideal for pairing with red meats, duck confit, grilled pork, stews, lamb and cured cheeses.

VINE-GROWING

The grapes for this wine are selected from the most special parcels in the estate to obtain the best Garnacha and Tempranillo grapes. The harvest is manual, early in the morning to avoid high temperatures and possible oxidation.

WINE-MAKING

The grapes are received in the morning and processed quickly with the latest technology. We de-stem, crush and vat in stainless steel tanks. We cool the harvest to 12º and cold macerate for at least 7 days with a compressed gas pumping over system. Temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks. We micro-oxygenate the wines to stabilize the colouring matter and cause malolactic fermentation in tanks with our own selection of bacteria.
The wines are aged separately in new 300-litre French and American oak barrels. After a minimum of 12 months of aging, we proceed to make the final coupage, which is then refined in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months.
