Food Match: cheeses, peartart

Country / Region: Germany/Rheinhessen

Grape type: Riesling

From old vines, small - berried, fully ripe, healthy grapes. On the nose scents of ripe, yellow orchard fruit and flowers. On the lees-enriched palate this rich and full-bodied, intense and elegant wine is quite juicy and mellow but also dense, complex, piquant and very long in its grapefruit aroma and lingering salinity. Very elegant, almost silky mouthfeel. Long finish.

Product Reviews

Critics Review

James Suckling - 92 Points
"Good ripeness here with lots of peaches and nectarines in the mix. The sweetness is quite direct on the medium-bodied palate, but there’s a clarity to the acidity that makes this a vertical, food-friendly wine.”
