Cathryn Bell - Irish Independent - August 8th 2020 Pieter Walser is a charmingly eclectic and endearingly humble wine maker who helms the Blank Bottle Project in South Africa. This wine is and unusual blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Pinot Noir and Syrah from different regions all over the Western Cape, finished with a bit of Chenin Blanc fermented and aged in African clay pots for good measure. The wine is a vinous montage of all the grapes and regions from which it's made - it tastes the way Bohemian Rhapsody sounds". "Peat smoke, black figs, roasted coffee beans to start, medium bodied and harmonious, this is one to share."
