Arguably the best producer in Lugana, this family-run estate is situated on the southern shores of Lake Garda where the moderating effect of the water, coupled with the quality
of their vineyards, ensures high quality fruit. High density planting and lower than average yields, ensure high quality fruit. This blend of indigenous Italian varieties: Groppello, Marzemino, Sangiovese and Barbera underwent a short period of skin contact to extract the delicate pink colour with a touch of ‘onion skin’ orange. Fresh and lively with red berries, red cherry, green apple and a hint of hawthorn flower with a slightly savoury note (imparted by the six months spent on fine lees prior to bottling). This is a very elegant wine.
