Albert Mann - Alsace
Domaine Albert Mann holds a significant place in the history of Alsace. This esteemed Alsace estate is managed by Maurice and Jacky Barthelmé, two brothers based in Wettolsheim, near Colmar. Maurice assumed control in 1984 and is married to the daughter of Albert Mann, after whom the domaine is named. While not extensive, their operation encompasses 24 hectares, including five plots in Grand Cru vineyards and two in lieux-dits. The brothers divide responsibilities between vineyard work and cellar management. Their viticulture practices are organic, with a hands-off approach in the cellar although they do utilize modern technology when needed. The resulting organic wines are pristine and pure, showcasing direct fruit aromas and textures without any funky notes.
